Unit 01_ Reference Images

Due to the references of the character were Buddhism and the White Tiger in Taoism, I had to find out several images that related to them. East Asian mythological images especially the first one made me feel comfortable also brand new.

This picture is called as <Ilwolobongdo ( 일월오봉도 (日月五峰圖) ) > , which means literally the sun and the moon with five mountaintop. Although it is a painting that captures the scenery, it is remarkable that the sun and the moon are floating together, which are impossible to establish in time, and the left and right are symmetrical. Considering that it was not found in the neighboring countries of China and Japan, but was produced only in Korea, it can be seen that it is a painting containing Korean culture and ideas during the Joseon Dynasty.
