Unit01_Drawings of Face Expressions

Drawing character’s various face expressions was quite beneficial for understanding my character as a director.

Also, I could recognise how I have understood the human face’s structure. For the details, I used to think the best way of face expression are eyes and eyebrow, but I realise that mouth also has an important role for it.

Especially, I was not good at drawing the faces which dehisced because I didn’t understand well about the stricture of joints and muscles of jaws.

However, I asked to my tutor about the change of the face opening mouth and I could know the different thing between the face opened mouth and normal face. When human dehisce, their jaws would be moved and the length of face could be longer than normal.

Otherwise, human face can be shorter than normal when people keep their mouth shut and grimace because of the jaws’s bone and muscle and eyebrow’s muscle.
