A deep understanding of composition is necessary to create a production that gives the audience a sense of liveness and immersion. Thus, I studied and briefly summarised the types and characteristics of various composition.

  • High Angle

It is an angle that the camera looks down from a higher position than the subject, and has the effect of making the subject look weak or small. High Angle gives a sense of height and distance so that it can make interesting production. It is also used to express a person's isolated emotions, such as loneliness or loneliness.

  • Low Angle

It is an angle in which the camera looks up from a lower position than the subject. The subject is expressed stronger and more dignified, just like the the feeling of looking up at someone. It could be also used to express evil  character or dark side of the story.

  • Rule of Thirds

The rule of third is the process of dividing an image into thirds using two horizontal and vertical lines. This virtual grid creates nine segments with four intersections. Placing the most important elements in a scene at these intersections can create a much more natural feel. And this is the most used composition not only in the film and animation but also in photography. Using the rule of thirds can give the audience a sense of stability and balance as it also has been called as the rule of gold ratio.
